Andreas Frank "Cr1t-" Nielsen, a member of Team Falcons' Dota 2 roster, described a number of changes he would like to see in the game. He voiced these expectations during a conversation with Maurice "KheZu" Gutman.
He said he would like to see jungling or roaming become more viable, and generally for offlane-related aspects to be improved. "I think I'd like them to make either jungling or roaming a bit better — some aspect connected to the offlane. Previously with Iron Talon you could go into the jungle — I'm not saying that should be brought back, but I'd like roaming to be encouraged or something like that," Cr1t- explained.
He also criticized some specific nerfs to hero mechanics that removed rewarding, active play. As an example, he recalled Clinkz's old Death Pact, which permanently granted +5 damage every time the hero scored a kill. "To me that was a great concept. It's just fun: you're rewarded for playing actively. Then they removed it. And I'm like, 'Why did you do that?' I get that a lot of their changes are made for balance for casual players. Maybe there are some extreme Clinkz players at very high ranks who would stack +500 damage each match, but for me it was a unique mechanic. It upset me that they removed it. Why? On the professional scene it wasn't even overpowered," he said.
Cr1t- pressed for stronger incentives for early kills, arguing they currently have almost no impact. "You TP to mid, kill the midlaner, and it doesn't even feel like anything. I remember when we played in Singapore against IG: you fly around with three Town Portal Scrolls like a madman — I'll never forget. It was so much fun to play Earth Spirit with three TPs. They need to bring that back. There was also Orb of Venom — now you can't even buy it anymore," he added.
The article noted that earlier expectations about upcoming Dota 2 patches were shared by streamer Alexey "Solo" Berezin; Solo has outlined his own wishes for the game in a separate piece. Cr1t-'s comments reinforce an ongoing community discussion about restoring or redesigning mechanics that reward early aggression and creative roaming, while balancing accessibility for casual players and competitive integrity.
